This site will introduce you to the facilities and services provided by Museum staff members, Friends, and Volunteers. We are all eager to assist as you learn more about Maine and this region, and we know that you will enjoy the experience.

For generations, American artists have found inspiration in the splendor of Maine, since the time when Frederic Edwin Church, Fitz Hugh Lane, Thomas Cole and others first came here in the mid-nineteenth century. Over the years, Maine has become a haven for such renowned artists as Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper, George Bellows, Marguerite Zorach and three generations of the Wyeth family.

Union Fair
A classic event celebrating agriculture in the state of Maine. The fairgrounds are nestled among the rolling hills and beautiful farmlands in Union, Maine. There are activities and entertainment for all age groups, so bring the entire family and spend the day at the festival. Better yet, stay for a few days and enjoy the surrounding area as well. There's lots to see and do in the Mid-Coast area.

Union Historical Society
Union Historical Society was founded in 1972. Its mission is: to collect and preserve historical documents, relics and records of Union; to make these archives and artifacts available for the use, education and pleasure of the community; to produce published material pertaining to the history of Union; to manage and preserve buildings owned by the Union Historical Society; and to hold regular meetings which, through programs and social activities, will stimulate interest in and promote the work of the Union Historical Society.
